Boveri Indonesia received Koja Supplier Special Award 2016 from Koja Container Terminal. This award due to the electricity cost reduction program.
Boveri Indonesia supply 4500 kVA Dynacom System in the order to avoid low power factor penalties from PLN and increased availability of the supply network. These ystem consist of Transformer, MV Switch Gear and Dynacom Panel.
Dynacom
Boveri Indonesia provided them with a thyristor based reactive power compensation solution that helps improve power quality of the electrical network at the port.
With the installation of Dynacomp, the port expects to maintain the right power quality in its network and will enjoy added benefits such as increased availability of the supply network, higher reliability and also avoid penalties from the utility
The ABB’s Dynacomp low-voltage thyristor-switched capacitor banks are used for ultra-rapid transient free power factor compensation due to fast varying or large low-voltage connected loads, giving additional benefits of transient-free compensation and voltage dip minimization. With ABB’s Dynacomp technology large capacitor steps can be connected to the network very fast. By using a step-up transformer the Dynacomp can be used for capacitive compensation in medium-voltage installations too.
TPK Koja
The Koja Container Terminal in Jakarta hosts 450 ships annually and has a capacity of 600,000 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) of containers per year. To support this massive capacity, the terminal has 7 quay cranes that operate in parallel, and move each container in less than two minutes
